Monroe County Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that holds the record.

Find the Right Official Contact

A county release card, a court order, a TDOC status, and a custody alert serve different purposes. Use the contact tied to the record you need. Call ahead before visiting because holidays and office practices can change.

Monroe County Courts

Circuit Court Clerk Dewayna Martin

County directory: 423-442-2396
Tennessee AOC directory: 423-442-9537
Email listed by AOC: dewayna.martin@monroetn.com

The county and AOC directories show different clerk phone numbers, so verify the correct line before relying on either. The same clerk serves Criminal and General Sessions. General Sessions Judge Dwaine Thomas is listed at the same address, 423-442-1382. The Tenth Judicial District criminal judge named by the county is Sandra Donaghy. District Attorney General Stephen D. Crump is at P.O. Box 647, Athens, TN 37371, 423-744-2830. Court files explain an order or disposition, while jail records document actual departure.

Use TDOC FOIL for a Tennessee felony custody or supervision record. Contact TDOC Records Management for an archived or underlying state release document. A county-only bond release may never appear in FOIL.

Monroe/Meigs Probation and Parole Office
123 Pedigo Road
Madisonville, TN 37354
Phone: 423-442-7409
Fax: 423-442-7418

This District 30 field office handles state parole and probation after release. It cannot confirm a county-only bond release. For Board of Parole matters, contact 615-741-1150 or BOP.Webmail@tn.gov at Davy Crockett Tower, Fourth Floor, 500 James Robertson Parkway, Nashville, TN 37243-0850. Hearing schedule requests use BD.HearingSchedules@tn.gov.

VINELink supplies custody-change notifications, with support at 888-868-4631. TDOC Victim Services uses victim.notification@tn.gov. VINE is useful for notices and transfer clues, but the posting agency remains the source for the full event record.

Federal and Immigration Custody

Search the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for a federal sentence. Use the ICE Online Detainee Locator System for immigration custody. The ICE Detention Reporting and Information Line is 888-351-4024, Monday through Friday except holidays, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern. A Monroe County booking alone does not make either federal system the right source.

  • For a released Monroe County booking or release record, use Citizen Connect, Jail Administration, and County Finance.
  • For state parole or probation, use the Monroe/Meigs office and Post-Release Supervision.
  • For recent county releases, open 24-Hour Releases.
  • For a date or alert, use Release Date Lookup and VINE Inmate Check.
  • For a specific jail, use the facility link in the footer.
  • For a state prisoner, use FOIL and TDOC Records Management.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use BOP or ICE rather than the county roster.
