Monroe County Three-Day Release Method
The Sheriff-linked Citizen Connect portal has Releases by Date Range, but it does not offer a button labeled Last 72 Hours. The interface instead provides Last 24 Hours, Last 7 Days, and custom start and end dates. To examine roughly three days, enter the three calendar dates that cover the period of interest.
This is a date-based method, not a precise hour-by-hour calculation. A search run late on Tuesday for Sunday through Tuesday includes the calendar dates selected, rather than exactly counting backward from the current minute. That difference should remain clear whenever the result is described as a Monroe County 72 hour release list.
The result cards still come from the county's official-linked jail system. They establish that the displayed Monroe County booking was recorded as released on its listed date. They do not display the precise release time or the person's next destination.
Build Monroe County 72-Hour Results
Choose the dates first, then verify each booking. For a weekend review on Monday, that may mean searching Saturday through Monday. If a release may have been entered around midnight, add the prior date and inspect the release dates on the cards rather than assuming the portal performed an exact clock calculation.
- Open Citizen Connect and select Releases by Date Range.
- Choose custom start and end dates spanning the three calendar dates needed.
- Run the search and note the displayed total, while remembering repeat bookings can make that total different from unique people.
- Match each person through name, date of birth, booking number, admit date, charges, and image when available.
- Record the release date and booking number, then verify the legal reason or destination through the right follow-up source.
The custom search accepts no more than 31 days in one request. That is plenty for a three-day review. For an uncertain date, the separate Last 7 Days control is a sound fallback. It must still be called a seven-day result, not relabeled as a precise 72-hour list.
For only the latest same-day period, the Monroe County 24-Hour Releases page uses the portal's actual preset. The two controls should not be confused.
Monroe County Weekend Release Dates
A three-date search is useful after weekends because one Monday review can cover releases recorded on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Yet no Monroe County source publishes a weekend or holiday release-processing schedule. Sheriff's administrative office hours are not the same thing as jail release hours. Do not infer that a person could not leave custody merely because an office was closed.
Calendar boundaries can also change what appears. A late-night custody event could be recorded under a neighboring date. Data may reach Citizen Connect after the physical event, and the portal gives no update timetable. Search one extra date when timing is close, then contact Jail Administration for an urgent status question.
Monday or holiday catch-up is also a reason to compare the county card with Tennessee VINE. VINE may report a custody change, while the court file can show the order that authorized release. Neither source supplies a universal answer. The county card covers the local booking; VINE depends on agency reporting; the court explains legal authority rather than the exact physical hour.

Monroe County Three-Day Release Fields
The cards in a custom date result use the same field set as the 24-hour view. They supply enough detail to identify a booking and its recorded release date, but they do not reveal why or where the person went. A photograph can help distinguish similar names, though it should never replace booking and biographical identifiers.

The omitted fields are just as important. No inspected card stated release reason, release authority, destination, or receiving agency. A bond amount does not prove bond was posted. Likewise, a Released badge could represent a transfer into another authority's custody.

Monroe Release Retention Is Unpublished
The custom-range ceiling is a search rule. It is not Monroe County's retention policy. A person researching more than 31 days can run consecutive, non-overlapping date ranges, but the county has not promised how far back every online card will remain available.
Testing on August 1, 2026 found Citizen Connect results from January 2025. That observation shows historical depth for the tested month on that date. It does not guarantee a fixed retention span. No official cadence or retention term was posted for Monroe County release results.
When an older result is missing, ask the Monroe County Department of Finance which adopted schedule covers jail booking and release files. Supply a narrow date range, full name, DOB if known, and the booking number if available. Request an existing report rather than asking the custodian to research a conclusion.
The county's responsive website is also the verified mobile-browser route. No Monroe County, Tennessee Sheriff roster or release app was found. Apps bearing the same county name in other states should not be used, and Tennessee's MyTN app leads to state FOIL rather than the county jail feed.
Verify Monroe County Release Destinations
Start with the agency that controlled the custody. For a Monroe jail booking, call Jail Administration at 423-442-3911, option 3 when immediate status matters. For a formal release report, use Finance and specifically request the release date and time, reason or authority, and destination or receiving agency.

A person moved to TDOC is no longer on Monroe County's Current Confinements view, yet remains incarcerated. A parole or probation status usually points to community supervision. A county-only bond release may never appear in FOIL. The correct pair of sources depends on where the person was held and which agency took the next action.
When the public card is not enough, a precise Finance request should seek an existing booking and release report for the identified person and dates. Ask for release date and time, release authority or type, destination or receiving agency, and charges or disposition data recorded by the jail. Monroe County has not posted an online request form, request email, fixed local fee, or local response promise. Confirm format, delivery, any estimate, and Tennessee-citizenship verification before visiting.
The Tennessee Public Records Act calls for prompt access to a readily available record. If prompt production is impracticable, the custodian generally has seven business days to produce it, deny it with a legal basis, or give a written estimate of the time required. This formal record path is more durable than assuming that an online three-date result will remain available forever.
